The First International Muaythai Event Seems To Be Continued in @2012

The first time international muaythai event ever held in Indonesia. Event entitled as  “Bali Muaythai Grand Match 2011″ was held on Saturday July 9, 2011 in Seminyak Beach, Kuta, Bali, Indonesia. Followed by the 8 participating countries and is supported by WPMF (World Professional Muaythai Federation).

This event consists of 3 games seizure WPMF World Championship belts, which include several World Champion, like Panom Top King Boxing (Thailand) successfully held his title for the Super Welterweight challenger Andy Trasher (UK) from the Jitti Gym, Bangkok by decision, Saifa (Thailand) from the gym Buamas, Bangkok retain title Bantamweight World champion over her challenger Teresa Wyntermyr (Sweden) from Rawai Muaythai gym, Phuket and Claire Haigh (Luxembourg) from Tiger Muaythai gym, Phuket retain theher World Champion title Superlightweight to her challenger, Messa (Thailand) from the gym Buamas, Bangkok. And also this event held 5 matches and 1 Muay Boran show.

The event began with a weigh in session which is held at the Venue on July 8, 2011. Witnessed by some important figures from Thailand Muaythai, the session lasted in one hour and followed by a parade around the city that made ​​the participants and event organizers on the way back to the hotel. The figures presented Muaythai is Jar Tui, one of the big promoter dari Lumpini Stadium dam promotor Thai Fight Extreme 2010 and 2011, juga ada Narit Wongprasertkan, owner of brands Top King Boxing, and Phi Lek, promoter of the Patong Stadium, Phuket. and some staff from WPMF representing the President of WPMF. Mr Somchart Chorenwatcharawit as he couldn.t attended to the event.

Event which was attended by approximately 450 spectators is likely to become an annual event in Bali. See you in Bali Muaythai Garand Match 2012.

BAAN MUAYTHAI INVITES SPECIAL GUESTS

On March 2011 we will invite special guests from Rawai Muaythai, Phuket, Thailand. They are Tuk (Owner/Manager/Promoter/Head Trainer of Rawai Muaythai) and Bang Keng (Tuk’s Assistant/Senior Trainer of Rawai Muaythai). Tuk started boxing at age 9. He boxed and fought professionally in Bangkok for 12 years. His fight records: 150 fights (115 wins, 30 losses, 5 draws). And he held 2005 World Title S-1 135 lbs.

Tuk and Bang will teach and share their experiences and knowledge to us at Baan Muay Thai Club, Jakarta for a month. This will be their first visit to Indonesia.

As one of best promoter in Phuket,Tuk will also visit Bali with Baan Muay Thai team to give us suggestions and look for any possibilities  according to our Muaythai International Event in Bali.

Denny’s First Fight at Patong Boxing Stadium,Phuket,Thailand on February 3, 2011

This is Denny’s first fight for Rawai Muaythai.  He did well with the kicks but lost in the clinch. Denny lost by decision after 5 rounds.

New Schedule For Evening Class

According to the traffic situation nowadays, especially in the rush hour which made many of our members request for delayed start for every evening classes.

So we have decided to reschedule all of the evening classes. Starting January 3rd 2011, the evening class will be start at 8.00 PM.

BAAN MUAY THAI TRAINING AT RAWAI MUAYTHAI PHUKET (MAY 2010)

It was our first trip together to Phuket! On the day of our departure, we agreed to meet with all the participants at the airport around 8.30 in the morning. Since we all very excited to go, most of us arrived at 7.30! After we dealt with check-in, immigration and stuffs, we grabbed a quick coffee to keep us alive and sound.
